About
Harry was a hardworking family man who spent most of his life humbly helping others. He worked as a union Cement Mason for the Boston Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ Union Local #534 for over 50 years. His hard work, dedication, and passion for bettering the lives of Union members and their families led to his service as Executive Director of the Benefit Funds and his elected positions as President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees where he served well into retirement. Harry’s commitment to service throughout his life extended to his community as he coached youth Hockey and baseball for decades, and later served as Chairman of Board of Trustees for the West Roxbury Elks Lodge #10.
To keep the spirit of Harry’s commitment to service alive, the Brousaides Charitable Foundation currently provides scholarships and other financial assistance. Honoring Harry’s lifetime love for the game of golf, an annual charity golf tournament fundraiser is held each spring. As the Brousaides Charitable Foundation continues to grow we plan to provide new ways to help the people Harry dedicated his life to serving.
In June 2022, we lost one of our trustees, Christopher G. Brousaides. Chris was one of the founders of the Brousaides Charitable Foundadtion and served as a trustee since inception. He was devoted to the foundations mission of helping others as his father Harry did throughout his life. Although Chris’s life ended before we were ready, the time that he spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy. Our mission continues in 2023 in his honor and memory.
In light of Chris' passing, we made the decision to change the name of our charitable organization from the Harry C. Brousaides Charitable Foundation to the Brousaides Charitable Foundation. In addition to this shift, we have also added the Christopher G. Brousaides Memorial Trivia Night as an annual charitable event.
