Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship Awards Program
This year the Foundation will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors through the Massachusetts AFL-CIO award program. Harry was proud to be apart of this program for years in his role at Boston Plasterers' & Cement Masons' Local #534. We will be awarding this Scholarship in his memory to the female and male student who scores 8th on the Mass AFL-CIO exam. For more information pertaining to the program please visit the Mass AFL-CIO Scholarship website.
Christopher G. Brousaides Scholarship Program
Last year we raised $6,000.00 in honor of Christopher G. Brousaides, one of the founders of the Brousaides Charitable Foundation, who served as a trustee since inception. Chris was devoted to the foundation’s mission of helping others.
From the proceeds of our fundraiser, we were able to raise money to give a $2,000.00 scholarship for the next three years to a Norwood High School senior student who was influenced by the arts during their high school education.
Our first scholarship was handed out in June 2024, and we plan on giving out another scholarship to a senior in the 2025 graduating class.
